Lift and Tighten Sagging Skin

Until recently, the only way to address skin laxity was surgical facelifts. However, not everyone is willing to go to such lengths to achieve the results.  Now there are new types of procedures developed to bridge the gap.

PDO Thread Lifting and Collagen Stimulation

PDO Threads are suture material that has been used in surgery for many years. The PDO threads were found to leave behind collagen once they dissolved and are now used to help build collagen in aesthetic procedures. The threads come in a variety of types that can used for physical lifting and collagen building (Barbed Threads), or just collagen building alone (Smooth Threads).

FAQs

Smooth Threads (Collagen Building):

  • Under Eyes (Dark Circles, Bags)
  • Smoker’s lines
  • Knees
  • Hands
  • Inner thighs

Barbed Threads (Lifting):

  • Nasolabial folds
  • Jowls
  • Crow’s feet
  • Glabella (11’s)
  • Arch of the eyebrows
  • Abdomen
  • Back of Arm
  • Neck and Chest
  • Buttocks
  • Inner thighs
  • Consultation
  • Mapping for placement of the threads
  • Local numbing (lidocaine with epinephrine) for insertion sites of the thread
  • The threads are placed in strategic positions under the skin to achieve the desired result

Depending on the area(s) treated, the procedure can take 15-60 minutes.

You will be swollen and have bruising in many cases. You should eat a soft diet, avoid chewing gum, and opening your mouth wide (for some treatments) for about 2 weeks.

A single treatment can last up to 1+ years. This treatment can also be combined with Filler and Botulinum Toxin therapy for more enhanced results.

You will see some immediate results with the Thread Lift Procedure since the barbs hold the skin in place. You will notice the collagen-building effects starting in 6-8 weeks.

Kybella®

Goodbye Double Chin!

Kybella® is an injectable treatment that uses deoxycholic acid to separate and absorb the fat deposits under the chin. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally-occurring acid in the body that metabolizes and dissolves fat from food sources. Because of this, most patients have no adverse reactions to Kybella® treatments.

FAQs

Kybella® is injected directly into the fatty areas under the chin and begins to work by destroying the fat cells located in that region. As the fat cells are destroyed, they are gone permanently, giving you long-lasting results. Since its approval by the FDA in 2015, Kybella® has been instrumental in helping people reduce fat and achieving better tones and contours in their chin with an improved facial appearance.

For those who want a non-surgical solution to remove excess fat from under the chin, Kybella® is the perfect solution. There are many benefits to this treatment, which include:

  • FDA-approval
  • Non-surgical with no incisions or sutures needed
  • No anesthesia
  • Long-lasting results
  • No scarring
  • No downtime or recovery period after procedure

During your consultation, a thorough examination of your medical history and any current medical conditions you may have will help to determine if you’re a candidate for this procedure. Once cleared, you will be given a series of Kybella® injections to the affected area. Each treatment session may require up to 20 injections, depending on the amount of fat, and should only take around 20 minutes to complete.

Two to six treatment sessions may be needed to maximize results and thoroughly destroy all fat cells under the chin. These treatments will be spaced one month apart from each other to allow proper recovery of the affected area. In some cases, minor bruising or swelling in the area may occur, but these should be relatively short-lived and disappear within a couple days of the procedure. While the results may not be immediately noticeable, the treatment is working, and you will begin to enjoy long-lasting results shortly after your treatments.

The charge per treatment varies by the number of vials needed to cover the size of the double chin. The cost per session typically ranges from $1000-$1500.

There is no downtime or recovery period after Kybella® treatments. You can return to your normal activities immediately after the procedure. You may experience some temporary swelling, bruising, or numbness under the chin.

Kybella® uses a synthetic version of deoxycholic acid, which naturally occurs in the body to destroy dietary fat. For that reason, this treatment is safe for most adults over the age of 18, although, as with any treatment, certain factors may prohibit you from having this procedure. Before having this treatment, consult with your doctor if any of the following applies to you:

  • Have had or plan to have neck, chin, or face surgery
  • Have had previous treatments on your face or neck
  • Any medical conditions on your face or neck
  • Have ever had trouble swallowing
  • Any bleeding problems
  • On any medications, especially blood thinners
  • Are pregnant or plan to be pregnant
  • Are breastfeeding

Hair Restoration

What Causes Hair Loss?

The cause of a woman or man’s hair loss can be due to genetic factors (i.e., male pattern baldness), stress, physical trauma to the hair (hair-pulling with hair bands, extensions, trichotillomania), chemical damage to the hair, hormonal changes/imbalances, medications, infections, and natural aging.

FAQs

A consultation is performed to determine the cause of your hair loss. A treatment plan is formulated to target the specific cause of your hair loss.
Treatment options include:

    • Topical Prescription Medications
    • Oral Prescription Medications
    • Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
    • Low Level Light Treatment
    • Correction of Underlying Causes

This is an in-office procedure that involves drawing your blood, preparation of the PRP, and the injection of the PRP into the scalp near the base of the hair follicles.

The charge per treatment varies by the number of vials needed to cover the size of the double chin. The cost per session typically ranges from $1000-$1500.

Total treatment time is 30-60 min.  There is no downtime associated PRP injections; However, after your treatment, your scalp may be red. This is normal and to be expected.

The platelet-rich plasma typically stimulates a series of biological responses, including inflammation, so the injection site may be swollen and painful for about 3 to 5 days.

  • You start noticing results in 4-6 weeks
  • Improvements will last several years
  • Generally facial treatments are repeated once a month for 3-5 months, then every 6-12 months thereafter for desired effect
